down here let alone hailing. But Gee, it was a regular old Iowa storm for about twenty minutes and how much cooler it was when it was over. Mamma, now listen, I don't want you to cramp yourself at all and please dont send it if you need it yourself, but Im a little short on money this month and if you could spare five dollars or less I would be very glad of it. I helped a friend out last month. And he couldn't pay me this payday. Now I dont need the money but you know a fellow likes to have a little bit around. We have one more payment to make on our Liberty bonds and then in September when we get our August pay I'll return the money to you. Must close and go to bed. Your loving son, Tom.
