right field and got the only fly ball that was knocked out of the diamond. Got a hit and a walk. Made two scores and drove in another one. Then this morning a bunch of us played. A company and we beat im 8-0. I played shortstop. I've certainly got a peach of a watch and it keeps excellent time. It has a radiolite surface and you can see the time after dark. That seemed a long old ride coming down here. Only took me 44 hours to come from Fairfield though. I rode from Kansas City with a fellow who is in B Company of this battalion.
