Saving...
been busy this week. I am in charge of our new drafted men (rookies) when drilling. That is I take them over and turn them over to a Lieutenant who drills about 150 of them. We have 25 in our company. When drilling I take charge of a squad and am acting corporal. Two other old men from this company also go out to drill with us. When I was a rookie I wonder if the fellows who drilled us got as much fun out of it as we do now. I'm having my turn to laugh now. At present we are having practise marches, close order drill practise guard duty and throwing hand-grenades. Friday we will throw real grenades from trenches There's where you don't make any
