bunch of us went out and discovered an old French cemetery. Covered five big blocks and in the heart of New Orleans. We came across the Mississippi in a big ferryboat without getting off the cars. Four cars at a time. The Red Cross gave us hot coffee and rolls there. Left there at four a.m. Went up thru Alabama and Mississippi. At Mobile Alabama, we saw a lot of goodsized ships. Lots of big lakes down in that country too. We stopped next at Greenville, South Carolina and exercised. Also turned loose for half an hour there. Much pretty scenery from there on. At everyplace we stopped in Dixie we would hear that southern phrase "Whar yo all goin" or
