Every town we passed thru the whole population were out to wave and cheer us. Saw lots of pretty girls in Dixie but darn it we werent allowed to get their address or give them ours.I think I`ll go back to Louisiana when the war`s over though - ha! Yesterday a bunch of us walked down to Brown Mills - four miles southeast of here. Theres a pretty good sized lake down there - three miles long and all the way from fifty to a hundred yards wide. Its a big summer resort for some rich bugs from Philadelphia who own it. However soldiers are welcome I guess if they`ve got money. Everybody thinks a soldier has lots of money. Around evary
