weigh six pounds. They have iron rivets in the soles and heels and iron heel and toe plates. Wow! Wont that be something to pack around though. The soles are a full half inch thick. We get two pair of them. The way they look now they ought to last a fellow for a lifetime. I wish I had know Golda lived at Mount Holly. Could you give me her address? Ill try to go over again and hunt her up. We had a Divisional Review yesterday and it was the best this Division has pulled off. The machine Gunners did themselves proud too. Well its nine oclock and Ill quit this and write you soon. Dont publish this but later you can give one to Coffey unless I say otherwise in the letter. Lovingly, Tom.
