Saving...
and maybe get to Kew gardens Sunday. I think the lilacs are about out. Joyce may come in for a day with me. She is dazed by it all, as she was away till last night. Col. Dyke was very nice when I said goodbye to him this morning, and said if I'd ever like a letter of commendation from him about my work, just to let him know. I myself think I did a very good job and I'm proud of it. So very many of the nurses and officers have praised it and the other R.C. workers treated me with awesome respect in regard to my "Program." By the way, Mrs. Goddard and Mrs. Devers swore up and down they'd leave their families in a minute if they could come with me. They are sweet, as are all the people I knew there, and I want you to meet them sometime. Mrs. Brodtman and Mrs. Busby just made it; they had lunch with me yesterday afternoon, but Polly had to take them to the movie alone as I was busy. I had a thorough physical and dental exam, even to x-rays and am OK, in case you are interested. That slack outfit I bought saved me hours of trudging around today, as I didn't need to get one now. I can even have my locker which will be sent. I'll have time to look up Herb Smith & Gen Kurzia. Write me where I said till further notice. Love, Helen
