Saving...
have to pass them on, as wrapping materials are scarce. Esther Weikel & I are going again tomorrow, I think, and complete the job. After feeling fine for months I've had the darndest assortment of trivial things. In the last three weeks I've had; gastro-enteritis, a very stiff neck, the regular ailment, a big bruise on my foot where a German PW dropped a bed on it when he was trying to help me, conjunctivitis in one eye, and tonight I think I'm getting trench mouth. Oh yes, I had athletes foot last week, too. Otherwise, I'm fine. Naomi Nelson (20 months in New guinea & now here), Esther (20 months in Ireland & England) & I lie on our beds side by side and moan about being battle scarred. Answers to questions: I gave most of the heels & shoe soles to Gen. Supply at the 91st when they were scarce. Most of the cotton hose & heavy things I gave away. The tea cosy Johnnie mailed before I left. You should be getting it. I have three roommates, Naomi Nelson (staff aide), Lucy Adams (Rec.) Esther Weikel (secretary). Lin was still at the 91st. The work was divided so that each bossed her own part. Interesting article about Mrs. Vander Zee.
