I also had a letter from Jay, telling of her May Day visit to Oxford. How I hated to miss it! Today I had a letter from Joyce. She said Johnny had left for Paris. I'm waiting to hear from her. If she's anywhere near I'll meet her.
I've about decided to take assignments here in Europe rather than one in the CBI, [note between lines: China-Burma-India] for the present at least. Then we can see.
