Great Britain & the continent, recently resigned. Yes, I had Johnnie or Jay mail the packages home because of technicalities. You might have some delay if I sent them. I had a nice letter from Clara yesterday. She told me all the W.B. gossip. I'm sure I'd like [note in margin: I censored this!]. I like him too, but he's definitely on the non-domestic side. I'm sure he loves her very much, but he has a "wife" in the unit too. She is a nurse and goes on all his weekend jaunts, etc. Johnny and the others who were with the outfit before said he had someone in Clinton, too. That is the setup with a very large majority of the men, I should say: the real competition just starts for the wife when she gets married. Of my roommates Naomi Nelson is from Colorado, Esther Weikel from Pennsylvania & Lucy Adams from Georgia. I reiterate what I've always said about southern girls as a whole. She's a good-hearted woman but absolutely obsessed by men. She feels she's a failure until a man has asked her to sleep with him. I like Esther a lot.
