Saving...
mens' dance and had a swell time. Esther and Naomi and I went over about 10:30 as they all asked us to. I think I danced with at least thirty men before it stopped at twelve as it was [tog?]. They were all good dancers and lots of fun. They seem to appreciate our coming. I'm getting nearer & nearer to "jitterbugging." So far I've avoided the most athletic of its forms. Naomi left early and Esther and I were escorted home by three goons whom we had to "shush" all through the hospital and forcibly restrain from escorting us up into the "off limits" nurses' quarters. They are characters! Time for sleep now. Love, Helen
