Saving...
Tuesday morning Esther and I rode into Namur on the mail truck and got some more wooden things, some perfume and some darling Christmas cards. I'll send them home as soon as I find envelopes for them. I got about seventy. Tuesday night I went to a dance at a Bomber base leave house. It was a charming place and I had a good time. We came home about two. There were eleven nurses and me and about thirty officers as hosts so you get the general idea. Today I went by jeep with a captain and a very nice sergeant (the one who got me the dinner in Namur on my way home from Paris) to Liege to shop for craft things. We came home about four. I've written to Aunt Bertha, Johnnie, Jay, Janice Mallett (card), [Nan?] & Kay Strother (card) and you. Good deal, as the boys say. Love, Helen
