2 on each side of each of us. They are a nice bunch of men. I suppose you know what the detachment is, don't you? The men are those who work in surgery, the dispensary, pharmacy, supply, are ward men, drive ambulances, etc. They are mighty good people to know, as they are the real ones who run the show. I haven't had much in the way of letters, but what lovely packages in the last few days. They come perfectly and don't even look as though they had been in a post office. Not a scuffed spot, not a bit of dust or a crinkle. I think someone carries them by hand. Forty five came, with its nice figs, orange slices, muffin mix, zwieback & pads. Then forty seven, with the ripe olives, which Naomi and I divided & gobbled that very night. My, how good. The peanut brittle wasn't
