Saving...
I owe Betty a letter and hope to write soon, but our patients will all be leaving in a few days and I don't know whether we will be left here for a vacation spell or sent where there is work to do immediately. Many of the nurses and officers are going out on detached service for a month or so. If we aren't switched into a new job at once I may take some of my leave. I haven't committed myself on the Pacific thing, but said I'd consider it eventually. I have offered to go to Germany. The only thing that would make me agree to go to China or somewhere like that very soon would be if the whole unit were going. It's more the people than the place, I've found, and this is a very friendly unit. I had lots of fun Saturday. It was a lovely day, and I had the afternoon off. I went bicycling all over the countryside with Sgt.
