I agree with you on what I'd rather do, but somehow things just don't seem to work [out?] that way. What a person wants most, money won't buy anyway, so I wouldn't worry about being unable to have "what I want and travel where I wish." Yes, after last Saturday's spree I'll take your advice and stick to coffee for the parties. The drive is about thirty miles, I think. The houses they have seem to be all right. Usually they are quite well furnished and they get a housekeeper or cook, gardener, or what they want in that line. Jim Brady's house is three stories high and has a big garden. There used to be several officers there, but one by one they have gone elsewhere. Some of the houses belonged to collaborators
