Ciney, Belgium July 11, 1945 Dear Mother, I'm just back from a few days in Paris; tomorrow I had intended to go to Luxembourg so as to fly to Cannes Friday morning for a couple of weeks' leave at the Riviera. However, I find I have to pick up orders at headquarters, so I'll go to Paris Friday and try to get a plane from there. It may be more complicated because of the Bastille day celebration. After my leave, I am to report to Paris for assignment and I wouldn't be too surprised if I decide I don't want to wait around till hospitals in Germany are set up but would rather
