Saving...
I didn't intend to get my hair wet, but you know how that goes. Before I knew it I was swimming to the buoy with a convoy. There are little fish like jewels, which come up and nibble you as you float. The water is so buoyant you don't have to swim really. Bob showed up and we swam around & lay around awhile. He's quite a lad, only above thirty, I should say, & has the DSC & lots of other things. He dives & swims to perfection. We wanted to come home on the 3:30 bus, so we got in, but I heard someone bellow "Darling!" and there was last night's "seat" colonel, who insisted on pulling me out of the truck for a drink. The other colonel was with him, so the four of us had some wine & then we came on home. Now, rinsed, hair set, & peaceful I am about to nap for whatever tonight may bring. I forgot to say that at the Miramar, about midnight the boys got to pulling each other's shirt tail out and tying neckties around their heads. They looked like a bunch of hoodlums instead of their usual trim selves. Time for that nap. Love, Helen
