Juan-les-Pins July 21, 1945 Saturday Paris - Notre Dame Dear Mother, I guess I'd better bring you up-to-date on my activities before they are too numerous. I'm still having a swell time, have lost an inch or so around and am brown as can be. I wrote you Tuesday afternoon, I guess. Well, Kathleen & I went out on the Terrace in the evening to hear the orchestra and were quite promptly engulfed in a group of six Air Corps officers from a P-47 fighter group in Germany. It was crowded, so I went with Col. Jordan & Kathleen with Lt. Hughes (whose sister she found she knew) & we went to the Martinez down in Cannes. That is the club for the Air Corps. We danced there till it closed at 12. About then we ran into another member of their group, a pilot named Lt. Wynne, whose looks intrigued me, so somehow or other
