2 things got arranged so that I ended up the evening with him at another club, the Miramar, down the street a bit. Kathleen & I took the 2 o'clock truck home. Wednesday morning I went swimming at Eden Rock with Col. Jordan and Wednesday afternoon went out again & swam & sunned with Lt. Wynne. He offered me a plane ride to Munich Monday and said they'd send me on to Paris by plane. In about a week I'll be looking for such an offer. Wednesday night I was sleepy & we got stuck at a table with a couple of boring people so I went to bed about 11. Thursday morning Kathleen & I went to Eden Rock to swim just before lunch. We ate & then went on a tour to a couple of perfume factories in Grosse. I got some darker powder. It was very interesting. Thursday night we started to get stuck with the same people, so went to Cannes & ran into another man from Iowa, a Lt. Patterson of an airbourne infantry group. He was a good dancer, but we didn't stay very late. He wanted a date for Friday night, but I was rather vague, as I didn't know what would turn up. Friday morning we swam at our own beach here, a nice gradual one. I slept all afternoon. In the evening some friends of Kathleens came (air corps) and we started
