Saving...
want to see him tonight, so I hurried off to the truck when we landed. I ate, napped & then met a colonel Goff in (chemical warfare) who had a friend Capt. Trainer (infantry) who had a jeep, so the nurse the capt. was with & the col. & I went to Cannes. We had a drink in his hotel & then went to the Air Corps hotel (Martinez) to dance, then the Miramar, the Terina club & then came home. By that time I'd gotten tired of the col, who meant well but did too much patting & squeezing, so I was with Capt. Trainer, who lost no time making a date for tomorrow night. "Slim," Lt. Milburn wanted me to go to Eden Rock swimming this morning but of course I couldn't. I think I'll be able to try it tomorrow & hope I'll see him & maybe arrange something for Sunday before my time is all taken. Sunday morning I must go to the airport & see about hitchhiking Monday to Paris or Luxembourg or somewhere. Love, Helen
