The extra one was for us to use for a guest. I got them in Namur, Belgium (!) When we used to ride in on the mail truck. They were decorated. Too bad about 42. I don't know why they didn't send it on. I'm sorry I use up so much lipstick but there's lots more wear & tear on it these days, you know. I'm slimmer than ever after all my swimming & dancing at Cannes. My waist is only 26 inches and my grey suit is a scream on me. Mary wrote about the ashtray. I'm glad they liked them & sorry mine like them was stolen in the hospital. Yes, the ride over Germany was thrilling. It was so used to the B-26 that I was quite surprised to hear people shudder at the thought. It seems that its high take-off speed (165 miles per. hr.) makes it very tricky and it takes a good pilot. That's what I came to Paris in a couple of weeks ago, too. The C-47 is the one that carried paratroopers and is slower & steadier.
