Saving...
B-26 on in here this time. I couldn't have made better time though, I'm sure I was here by eleven. Besides, I could imagine what his idea of a good place for me to stay would be! I called Herb & he took me to a play this evening. We giggled till we were silly because it was a stinkeroo. The heroine forgot her lines & rushed off stage to look at the book. No, the girls didn't look alike at all, and I don't look mean. Wipe your glasses off! I ran into Esther Weikel this afternoon at HQ. She was the secretary & was supposed to leave with the 130th but changed her mind. Have you read a book called Barefoot Boy with Cheek? Johnny had it and we read it most of the way from Nice to Namur. Very funny. I guess I don't need to answer your question as to what I do when the hospital is empty, do I? If I could get an assignment with an evacuation, station or convalescent hospital I even think I'd go to the Pacific. I'll try for one in Germany, though, first. Love, Helen
