Camp Twenty Grand Rouen, France August 6, 1945 Dear Mother, I'm lying on my cot in very nice little tent. There is a beautiful view over the Seine valley from our tent, as it is almost on the brink of the cliffs along the river. This is a staging area from which units embark at Le Havre. The 130th has been here for about 2-1/2 weeks, but fortunately I spent two of those on the Riviera. Now I'm hoping we will move out soon and I'll be on my way. I'll have to go to Ft. Meade, Maryland and Washington headquarters before I come home, but hope it won't take many days there. I'll phone you as soon as I'm free to do so after we land. I'm glad I didn't take much time for sleep while I was in Juan-les-Pins, as we get plenty of that here. We are quite closely confined to our area, although Kay Remy & I go over to the post Red Cross quite often. The nurses can't do that because the club is for
