Camp Twenty Grand Rouen, France August 12, 1945 Dear Mother, We are still just waiting and expect, or rather hope, that next week will see us on our way. With events in the Pacific coming along as they are, however, we may lose whatever priority we had and be delayed. Anyway it is a nice place and we aren't too unhappy. I've just had a hot shower, washed my hair and done a washing, which is hanging on the tent ropes. The flaps are all up and there is a good breeze. The nights are chilly. So far only a couple of rainy nights and no days that were bad. Yesterday I went in to Paris with some of the nurses. We went in at 7 in the morning and started back about midnight. It was a pretty rough trip, as we were in a 2-1/2 ton truck and on those
