P.S. We're using the same Le Havre APO as return because we're still bored there theoretically. Tidworth, England Aug 25, 1945 Dear Mother, Surprise! Something or someone snafued our arrangements for sailing on the Elizabeth tomorrow, so we'll be around here till the 6th or 8th of September, at which time, so they tell us, we will take the Mary or the Aquatania home. We'll believe it when we are on and well started. This is a nice staging area. We have a brick building, steam heat, baths, only two in a room, mattresses, pillows, sheets and plate & cups at meal time. All quite a change. There are busses into Tidworth every half hour. I'm going to a dance somewhere there tonight. We had a wild day yesterday. We had to get up from our little cots in our little tent at 4 o'clock, & ride 2 hours by truck to Le Havre. We had a stormy crossing, which took from about 10 AM till about 7:30. There
