Saving...
to Glasgow about 7:30. I wandered around, put my name down for a return sleeper Friday night, had breakfast, bought some vegetables & fruit to bring & got the 10:47 boat train to Gourock, then the boat & got to Hunters Quay about noon. I hadn't had a chance to let them know I was even in England but walked up the hill & found them, delighted to see me & in fine spirits. Yesterday Maureen & I walked along the beach, turning over jelly fish, picking up crabs, etc. I phoned my unit yesterday & verified the time I'm supposed to be back. We are to be there by midnight Saturday, although it looks now as though we'd be taking the Aquitania (we did) the 8th. I'm a little sorry, as I was hoping the infantry regiment I met would be with us, also, I heard in London rumors that the 91st is to go home on the Queen Mary the 6th. Ah, well, maybe some day we'll make it! Love, Helen
