Alberts than Our Capt had up to the trenches and some of the men had little or no shelter and than he kicks I have slept in places where I could wake up and look thru the roof and see the stars. and a whole lot just like that. I'll bet he would have something to kick about if he had went thro what I have and I haven't had one half the hardships the boys on the big front have. Well mother while I was writing this they hollored K Co on the line for pay and I have now One hundred and 44 francs. I would send you ten dollars but we wont get paid again before Xmas and I am going to try to get a pass Xmas and have a good time.
