Jan 26. 1919 My Dear Mother; Well we are still here at Bonnet. I haven't heard from anyone for quite a while except Ethel. and she said She was down there and that Dad was quite sick why don't some of you write and let me know how he is. Even tho I am far away my mind heart and soul are with you. Oh how I wish I were back with you and out of this country. If we were in the U.S. the army life wouldent be so bad and I have no kick comeing about our (--age --?) here for I believe that under the circumstances Uncle Sam is giving us the best accomadation he can get and I know we should be darn thankful we arent in the trenches and I
