Saving...
going down there Monday, so why don't you write me American Red Cross, Langley Field, Va. for the next few times. When I am called back here I will have three days to clear. Mr. Micas says I'll be in the first bunch they send. It is a rare privilege to get the APD job, as many of their own club APD's are going out demoted to stay assistants, which was what Dorothy Ward was. It pays $200. while I'm in this country and $225. & maintenance of $50. or so when overseas. I can voucher my expenses coming here this time, whoopee! Also my telegrams, luggage, etc. This morning they gave me a $200. sub-advance to use till I clear to go. They want both crafts & music in their clubs, so I should have something to offer there. There is a club director (man) responsible.
