3 liked the London setting & description of the plague & fire. If I can find it there is an album of music I'll put in the suitcase for Grace Allen. I haven't found my nylons. Betty Haas got me some to take and may get a pair or so more but I'm so out of hose I'll have to have them. I've lost 8 pairs of old ones in the last two weeks. They're all the same age so they go at the same time. I think I can get silk in Panama. What size does Betty W. wear? The stores, except for short spurts, have no hose at all here. We've finished clearing, our accounts are all settled and now I can relax till Monday, when I get a typhus and smallpox booster shot & apply for my army identification. I hope you won't begrudge me my shopping. Dare I tell you about it? I've enjoyed getting the things and found them very reasonable. I got a slack suit in melon rose-red, lined in soft pale gree, $10. a white loose jacket that ties at the waist & has a fitted belt & sort of peplum, $9.00 a white jersey dress with gold nail head trimmed belt ($10.00), 2 pairs of white gloves ($2) a black evening skirt in sort of grosgrain weave ($9), a swimming
