& can buy everything. I've gotten some gay straw purses & some wooden things to start our Christmas drawer & will soon send them home. I also got you some cotton print down in [Crelon?] this afternoon for a "tent." I like Cristobel (CZ) & Colon (Panama) much better than Panama City, & the shops are swell. Fran Chapman & Caroline Gay, the two former girls are here but will leave this week when they get us started. I like them & all the people I've met. Today was calling day & we visited Col. Kendall, the C.O. & all the military & civilian people we should know, including the wife of the head of United Fruit Company, Mrs. Bennett, who gets us the girls for our dances. Time for bed. Love, Helen P.S. I checked 133.93 when I [closed?] a couple of days ago. OK?
