have to go then but those are the hours the men are free to go to the club. Mornings & afternoons we plan, shop & get things lined up for evenings. Not any very interesting men so far, but the new regiment hasn't started to come in yet. It is an infantry base & some signal corps & some artillery. Right now we are mainly getting acquainted with the people who will get us girls for dances, orchestras, organize tours, etc. There isn't any such thing as a sample day, but here is today. We got up at 9. I waited 10 - 12 to corner Lt. [Parrish?], the Special Service officer, but no soap. Meantime I talked to a U.S.O. man. We ate lunch at the beergarden after we got gas for the car & arranged with a company mess hall to make us 16 gal. of coffee by 8:30 tomorrow. At 1:00 we picked up the 4 fellows & took them to Ft. Sherman. We swam 2:30 - 4:00 & came home. We took the coffee to the mess hall to be made & went to the officers' club & had dinner. Then we went to
