Saving...
the club & played cards with bunches of fellows till 9:30. Then we came home & talked about our plans till 10:30. We don't get our meals except when we feel like it. We eat dinner at the officers club & lunch wherever we happen to be. Yes, I like Helen Hutt. Her home is Illyria, Ohio. She went to Lake Erie college & is a physical ed. ex-teacher. She's 32 & was in the Southwest Pacific 2 years. She was an APD there but there were no more openings as that so she came as staff assistant. Yes, the dry closet has a bulb. We have 5 of them, [illegible] for salt & other such food. Yes. I got all the 834 letters. No, we have plenty of books. I'd like Almay powder, a little darker than rose brunette, another Larodo deodorant box (from that store near Reichs), more hair rinse, (med. brown) & color film, please for birthday. I like the clippings & the valentine. The Brodtmans live in Hampstead a very classy part of London. (Country house Whitehall at Minster Lovell) We don't know what our car is. It is quartermaster issue. We both drive. Yes we are on New York time. Love, Helen
