November 28, 1944 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: This is a typical fall day when it's nasty, rather cold and spitting rain from a dark gray sky. I'm in our house tho beside the stove where it is warm and dry. Am caught up on my work again for a change but I've sure had a busy couple of weeks. Just made up my laundry to go out for this week and have cleaned up a couple of days grease & grime with a general renovating, shampoo, haircut, shave and bath feel like a million dollars but would settle for slightly less. Sent my pictures or negatives rather which Bob took at Pompeii out with a fellow who is going on pass to have developed. I'll send a set home as soon as they get back. The negatives looked pretty good but the developing over here is not good. Got three letters from you last night two V-mails and an air mail one which was mailed the thirteenth. One of the V-mails wasn't photographed don't know why unless it wasn't black enough. What a shame about
