Saving...
Im quite happy about the war news we've been getting lately, expect you get it as soon as we do and about the same. It cant help but make a fellow feel optimistic and hope for a very near victory. I would certainly like to have Christmas dinner at Bill Grahams but Im not setting my hopes too high on anything until I'm out of this. The flies are really chewing on me tonight, our screens dont seem to keep them out maybe there is a hole in 'em. Think there must be a big screen all around Italy which keeps them in. dont see how so many would stay otherwise. A screened in porch would really be a comfort here, makes me think how often we've cussed ours for a dust catcher. The boys are busy changing the tire on the truck out in the area in front of my tent. makes me think of Cliff and Leo working over at the filling station. There isn't a cement floor here tho to make the tools ring whenever they are dropped. Think they are having more trouble too and maybe more kibitzers. From the line at the showers I think I had better get mine while there is still water. Will sign off for tonight. Love Johnny
