change that before too long. Don't believe the picture you saw in the Cedar Rapids paper was of our outfit altho it was the right branch. I'm sure the fellow you thought might be was not this fat ground crew man. I was only kidding when I mentioned that Army of occupation stuff. I'd rather starve a civilian than be a general in the army once this mess is over. I don't mind it so much as long as I feel I'm doing a little but it isn't the life for me. I'm very lucky tho, to be where I am and in this branch of service for I don't think I'd ever make a soldier. It's getting late & I must be up early in the morning so I'll close. Love, Johnny Just found I have no air mail envelopes or stamps on hand so this will be awhile reaching you must get some tomorrow.
