Sick Head ache As much Carbonate of soda as with lay on a Shilling, and as much ground Ginger as will lay on a sixpence, taken in a little cold water or Tea. Prust Pills 1/2 Oz [Salap?], 1/2 of powdered Rhubarb, 1/2 Oz of Hychra [Pichrs?], wet with Brandy Mrs Marten 2 Oz of Sulphur, 1 Oz Cream Tartar, 1/2 lb Treacle mix the Sulphur and cream of Tartar well in a mortar then add the Treacle beating it up well. Two Teaspoonsful every night and morning. Dr. Armerod's prescription for the Rheu=matism For the Croup [Colgas's?] Croup Lotion, apply it to the throat. Recommended by Doctor [Ellery?] A gargle for the Quinsey or swelling of the glands of the throat Vinegar and a small quan=ity of Cayenne pepper. Jeffery
