For a Cold 1 Teaspoonful of [Puregorie?] and 1 Teaspoonful of sweet spirits of Nitre in a little water Jeffery To clean Pewter and Tin Dishcovers and pewter articles requiring a polish should be first rubbed on the outside with a little sweet oil laid on a piece of soft linen cloth then clean off with pure whiting on linen cloths Home Companion To clean [Crape?] Skim milk and water with a bit of glue in made scalding hot is excellent to restore old moldy black Italian [Crape?] if clapped and patted dry it will look as well as new Home Companion To extract Ink from Mahogany Dilute half a Teaspoonful of Oil of Vitriol with a large spoonful of water and apply it to the Ink spot with a feather Let it lie for a few minutes and rub it off quickly and repeat if not quite removed Ann excellent receipt
