Christmas - 44 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: I'm not working today. It's not a white Christmas but a wet one instead. The day isn't cold but not very pleasant. However the stove is going fine and I'm very comfortable compared to a lot of fellows I know so I've no kick coming at all. Washed out my stocking cap this morning and have it spread out on a towel to dry the way I've seen you do with wool sweaters - things so I expect it won't shrink, Must wash my wool sweater too it's getting quite stinky. Thought I'd experiment with a smaller thing first and see how it came out. I know our laundry service would send it back about the size to fit my little friend. I sent the snap shot of not long ago. Have a quite recent Coronet to read this afternoon and I should write some more letters. I like to work the word puzzles etc. that are in it and find the articles as good as the Readers Digest, hadn't seen one for a long time however. John Booth is busy making a picture frame out of Plexiglas for a recent picture he received of his baby. Think it
