Saving...
next year they will get off to a better start. When I notice on the calender how soon it will be next year it gives me quite a start. It has frozen ice about a half inch thick the past few nights but thaws out in the daytimes so you see we havent suffered any from the cold. It's been a bit disagreeable a few days due to the rain but not bad. Made a bigger [stone?] pipe four our "Little Genius" today, the other one gave us trouble because it sooted up after and had to be taken down and beaten out. Think this one will work fine used heavy tin and Bill welded the seams so it's good and stout. So the new baby at [Hamp?] is a cute one, maybe you should try and adopt her, just something to take up your spare time you know. The other kids were cute I thought and real nice children. Jimmy has a new tractor that he is all enthused over, I was quite amused. It's one like Anton has, and he told me all the things he could do with it. Also he says the fishing bug has bitten him since a trip up into Maine last summer. This is it for tonight Love Johnny
