Saving...
we werent any of us very hungry for we had a good dinner and later than usual. For dinner we had turkey, sweet potatoes, oyster dressing, green beans, lettuce salad, bread + butter and pineapple for desert. Wasnt home cooked by a long way but the cooks did a good job. Got paid yesterday and I'll send home a little money tomorrow I think. Believe they'll take it P. [F.?] A. or whatever they call it when the government sends it. Also must pay for the band I signed for. Christmas packages and cards are still coming but I believe I've received all mine. Some of the boys still have them coming but maybe they are lost. Would be a wonder if some werent, the volume which was handled. I got a paper yesterday which was a September sixteenth issue. Went over to try out our new shower this evening but the darn thing was out of water so I had to come back and use our little yellow tub. Got a good bath anyhow and now I think Ill turn in. Love Johnny
