Saving...
place would be jammed. They are very much the same, an accordion player, a singer, a ventriloquist and a master of ceremonies who cracks jokes about army chow, civilian morale etc. Hope we get some mail tonight, one of the fellows reported a big stack of it for tonight so there probably wont be any, that's the way it usually turns out. We are lucky in our tent, have one guy who always sweats out mail call and saves the rest of us the trouble. Got your long letter written the second, just now. It did carry a lot of sad news, I was shocked to hear of Mrs. Rhudes death only a few days ago I heard she was sick it is a dreadful blow to the family. I'll try and write Aunt Cora if I can but don't know what to say somehow I thought Russell would turn up okay. I am so glad you got a new outfit I'll bet it is very becoming. I remembered what you always said about the fat lady looking like a buffalo in a fur coat. I wondered why you'd lost so much weight, I'll bet that's the reason. Would like to see it and hope you enjoy it. Think it would be nice if Vivian can find a place in New York at least it will be a good vacation for her and a change of scenery is good for one, I'd like to have one myself.
