Saving...
had travelled about some and was delayed a bit. She said both Shirl and Alvin were having sales and were moving to town with their sons moving on the home places. Hope I get some letters tonight guess maybe the old ocean is kind of rough this season of the year. As an old fisherman out on Martha's Vineyard told me "the water gets kind of crooked." One of our fellows in the tent just came of pass but didn't report having a good time. The weather wasn't good, available rides few, food in the Italian restuarants lousy etc. Unless a fellow has some place in particular to visit and transportation lined up before hand he'd better stay right on the base. Saving money is no case of doing without things because there is just nothing to spend it on. We have a couple of Brooklyn guys in this outfit who think Bob's present location would be nearly heaven, surely hope he finds it as good as they describe it and can stay there for the duration. Nothing more for tonight - Love Johnny
