Saving...
This was laundry day and I forgot to send mine, didn't think about it until I was going in for supper. Doesn't matter anyway for I have plenty of clothes to run me thru. We are going to be able to send out some dry cleaning the first of the month so they say it's been a long time since they had this service. Got a Union last night which told of Dean Culbertsons death, I'm certainly sorry to hear about that. Also had an air mail letter in which you asked about my income tax. It seems to me I might as well pay it now rather than let it pile up. It will have to be paid someday no doubt but Mr. Antes probably knows best so it's whatever he thinks. Perhaps the government will make some changes on it when all the service men come home. It's too bad Brad couldn't stay in Indiana and be with his family but I guess the Navy switches a fellow around too. I think his wife would be wise to return to her home rather than staying in West Union. I'll bet their baby is cute by now, the snap shot I have of her is. Nothing more for tonight - Love Johnny
