Saving...
February 17, 1945 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: This was a good night for me got a V-mail & a nice long air mail from you mailed the third & the fifth of this month. The clipping which told of Kings taking another position was in it and I was quite surprised that he had changed jobs. I'm always glad when I get a letter from home, it's almost like being there for a few minutes. Even the most common place news items from there are front page here. Its good to know you've both been well, sometimes I worry just a little about that. No, Dad it wasn't Lehigh cement we hauled and it cost three times as much per bag as what your yard puts out. Certainly an inferior quality too but a buy can't always get what suits him. Went to the dentist today and found I have one small cavity, darn it. Didn't fix it but said he would give me an appointment later. Also dressed off a rough spot on my bridge. Have some grease now so we'll try out the pop corn tonight. I'm sure it will be good and its been quite a spell since we've had any. Six of us can really stow away a lot of it too.
