Dear Helen, How can I possibly have let all this time pass without writing to tell you how very, very much I appreciate your exquisite gift to me! Of course, the pillowcases caused a sensation, both on account of their shape (most English ones button at the end, & fat pillows are always bursting out of their skins!) and of the work. Mother said they should be kept for my "bottom drawer" (I believe you call it "hope chest" -- a much nicer expression) but on my remarking that at that rate they
