answering your questions. I am a Private. Hope to remain so till the end. I fought the idea of the stripes on my sleeves since 1930 when I was proposed twice to promotions. I just hate "sardines" on my sleeves & do better work for the country as I am. Privates are the only people -- without criticism -- who are not exempt from routine.
