2 We are working on detached service and expect to do canteen work and club mobile until we are permantly set up. How wonderful for you and the program that your C.O. is a friend of yours. Ours is swell but very strict. We are having a pretty enjoyable social life - the only trouble being too much of it. Boating on the bay - dinner on ships - various officers clubs functions - picnics swimming parties - The Navy and Air Corps top the list of desirable escorts as they have marvelous food and beer and cokes and the army including us is on "C" rations. Oh - for some ice cream! Why didn't I eat a whole pint more often! - Write soon Helen and let me know where you are - Love Jungle Julie "The Coconut Queen" [Jullette Lippe]
