For Corns. C.S.N. Bind on a slice of lemon, so says Clara S. Nye - this is supposed to be a cure-all. For Washing Black lace & Veils. Make a strong preparation of Blueing and Water & dip the Veil - clapping it & not ironing. Cough Hop Syrup. Mrs. W. Nye. Take 1 handful of Hope - put them in a kettle with cold water - let it boil till the strength is extracted from the hope - then take half as much molasses as you have of the liquid, let it boil down and gin enough to keep it. Tooth-ache Doctr Knowles 1 oz Sulphuric Ether, 1/2 drachm Oil Cloves Cleaning Bottles Doct Tallman Fill partly with fine Shot, add water & shake well.
