Have in a bowl the following which have been sifted together 1 1/4 cups [letter 'u' alone] of flour, 3/4 cup of sugar. 1 heaping teaspoonful of baking powder. pinch of salt. Have in a cup 1/3 cup of butter melted but not hot. beat one egg into the butter then fill with milk. Pour contents of cup on contents of bowl, beat well & [flavor?]
